Quiet Work
Quiet work is a term used in nature photography to describe a more intimate form of the art. It lies in direct contrast to the sprawling "epic" landscape scenes that are typically associated with nature & landscape photography. Quiet work has a contemplative element to it. It's meant to engage the viewer on a cognitive level. Often, it is emotionally evocative. Indeed, quiet work is frequently abstract, with the identity of what is being photographed somewhat nebulous.
The photographs you will find in this gallery are some of the most personally satisfying for me to make. They are a reflection of the mood, emotion and creative inspiration that I was feeling at the time in which they were taken. They, as are all of my photographs, deeply personal. It is my hope that you find them pleasing to both the mind and the eye.
